Gaussmeters are used to detect electromagnetic fields in the home. This high-quality meter combines EMF, electrical, and radio/microwave field detection in one handy device. What makes this meter unique is its ability to read high-frequency magnetic fields coming from more than one direction. Others in this price range measure low-frequency fields and only in one direction. The Tri-Field measures EMF in two ranges: from .2 to 3 milligauss (mG) for sensitive readings and from .5 to 100 mG for readings of stronger fields. 9V transistor battery included; built-in battery tester.
