Jacob's Rod# B JR
This rare book is a translation of La Verge de Jacob (Jacob's Rod), written by Jean Nicolas in 1693. Thomas Welton translated it and published it in England in 1874, with some additional information. One of the earliest books on the art of dowsing to find objects, it includes old beliefs and superstitions that surrounded dowsing at the time. Most of the practices and techniques described in the 128-page book remain unchanged.
In addition to the translation of the original, this edition contains reprints of dowsing articles from the 1800s and personal accounts of Welton's own research. This book is new, and apart from a few small marks on the cover, is in very good condition.
