Air Filter Buying Guide

Deciding what type of air filter to buy can be confusing. Here are some guidelines to help you:

If your main problem is particulates (allergens, dust, etc.), your best choice is a HEPA (high efficiency particulate arresting) filter. HEPA boasts 99.97% filtering efficiency for particles down to .3 microns. See Austin Air Filters.
If you are concerned about bacteria and viruses, your choices are the Airpura ultraviolet (UV) unit combined with HEPA filtration, and the Sanuvox.
If your primary problem is odors and/or mold, consider the unique air cleaners Aran Air. These units use proprietary technologies to kill offensive odors, mold and mildew.
If your air quality is very good and you have no allergies or asthma, but you still want fresher air, try an ionizer. These units emit negative ions, which counteract pollutants (positive ions). See Vortex Destop Ionizer.
If you want a whole-house filtration system, we offer several models from Sanuvox and Tri-Med.
